We are seeking to add an Entry Level Residential Appraiser to our team!  You will be responsible for performing duties supporting appraisal of real property at a fair and accurate market value for the assessment of ad valorem taxes in accordance with the Texas Property Tax Code.


Conduct on-site measurements and inspections

Analyze market sales and trends

Apply mass appraisal techniques

Prepare and present presentations in protest hearings

Provide excellent “customer service” to taxpayers and agents


Self-motivated with excellent people skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Strong organizational Skills

Deadline and detail oriented

Willingness to learn and work hard

Wise County Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Wise County. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).

Wise County Appraisal District is responsible for the fair market appraisal of properties within each of the following taxing entities. Additional responsibilities include change of address and public information requests.
